200 employees did +1200 Random Acts of Kindness in 1 week across our US, Canada, India, Bolivia, Costa Rica offices.
Harris’ Finance Group Gives Back with Suits U
During Harris’ Finance Leadership Summit, our employees collaborated with Suits U Montreal, a non-profit McGill university student led organization dedicated to helping students dress well in a professional setting. The donation of gently used business attire makes a significant impact on students who need professional clothing for job interviews or workplace attire.
Perseus Brings the Holiday Spirit to Their Local Community
Our colleagues at Perseus came together and collected clothes, food, and toys which were donated to the Salvation Army and the Markham Stouffville Hospital’s Children’s Centre. Several of their BUs also pitched in to provide food for local food banks both in the UK and Canada including the Hope for Food in Poole, UK, the Mountsorrel Community Food Project in Mountsorrel, UK, and the Food Bank in the Waterloo region in Ontario.
Cayenta Supports Their Community Through Donations and Volunteer Work
The Harris Cayenta BU continued to showcase their commitment and focus on making a positive impact in their community by supporting several charities including Ronald McDonald House and the 'Race for Warmth' run.
Jonas UK Portfolio & the Jonas Foundation
Our Jonas UK Portfolio has formalized and brought its existing and new initiatives under one program that they refer to as the Jonas Foundation. The three pillars to the Foundation are apprenticeship, charity and sustainability.
During 2023, our participating BUs supported many important causes and in total raised over £26,000.
Biking for a Good Cause
A large group of Topicans [our Topicus employees] raised € 19,428 by participating in various cycling distances during “De Ronde van Deventer”. Topicus was also the main sponsor of this first edition – with proceeds being used to buy bicycles for children from disadvantaged families.
TSS Provides Meals for the Homeless
A warm meal and a bed for the night. Even in one of the worlds wealthiest countries, there are people that have to do without at Christmas time. For more than a decade, the Koken Verbindt initiative by Henny Heijmans has provided 10,000 meals for the homeless in Amsterdam at zero cost. This year a few of our TSS M&A colleagues had the honor of providing fifty of those meals.
Cognera Supports the Salvation Army Christmas Toys Program
Members of Harris’ Cognera BU got together to support The Salvation Army Christmas Toys program. The team got the opportunity to work with their clients as a “personal shopper” to help select toys from the donated items in the warehouse.
Yonder Helps Kids At Christmas & Cooks for Charity
Our Yonder colleagues partnered with the Christian Association Something New for a special Christmas initiative in Cluj and COTE Foundation in Iași. They teamed up to support 120 underprivileged children, making sure they had gifts to open on Christmas morning.
The team also participated in another edition of our Cooking for Charity. Our employees put on their chef hats and raised an impressive 13,894 lei for a great cause.

Our colleagues at PharmaPartners banded together to cycle to work, all for a great cause – to raise funds for 'Children in Need'.
CityView Spreads Holiday Cheer with Annual Giving Program
Harris’ CityView BU matched employee donations to three Canadian charities, contributing $1,700 to three great causes - a Victoria-based food bank, the Victoria Humane Society, and FIRST Robotics BC. These organizations play crucial roles in addressing various needs, from combating hunger to rescuing animals to inspiring the next generation of young minds in science and technology.
Harris’ Ambulatory Care Group continues its ‘Giving Back Together’ Initiative
Launched in 2022, the “Giving Back Together” initiative is focused on giving back to local charities whose selection is voted on by our employees, with our 2023 donation amounting to $14,000. One of the selected charities in 2023 was once again the Make a Wish Foundation.
NorthStar Sponsors the Dr. F.J. McDonald School
Harris’ NorthStar BU has been sponsoring the Dr. F.J. McDonald School in Ottawa, Ontario, since 2016. The school serves many students from lower-income families, including recent immigrants to Canada. During the holiday season, we worked with the school's principal to pick a few families to support in enhancing their holiday celebrations.
Harris Guardian Takes a Stand on the Coldest Night of the Year
Harris’ Guardian BU actively participated in the "Coldest Night of the Year" event, a nationwide initiative to raise awareness and funds to support individuals facing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. Braving the chilly winter night, the Guardian team participated in the walk and also engaged in a fundraising campaign.
Global Public Safety Volunteers at Local Food Bank in Lansing, Michigan
Harris’ Global Public Safety BU demonstrated their commitment to community by using their annual Harris volunteer day to volunteer at a local food bank in Lansing, Michigan. This event allows the team to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact.
Insuresoft Gives Back
Volaris’ Vencora BU Insuresoft sponsored a kids triathlon fundraiser in support of the Secret Meals for Hungry Children as well as introduced The Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS [Technology Education and Learning Support] program to their software developers. TEALS helps high school students across North America develop and grow sustainable and inclusive computer science programs.
Perseus Academy Gives Back
Our Perseus Operating group used their best-practice and networking event for an even greater good. They had nearly 100 employees participate in the local community by partnering with Share the Warmth, a non-profit in Montreal focused on the overall development of children, in particular their food security. Together they portioned out over 700 bags of dried goods.
Toronto Habitat for Humanity Build Day
Our Constellation HomeBuilder team worked with a local Habitat for Humanity organization in the greater Toronto area to help build homes for extremely deserving families. These homes will help families realize their dreams of home ownership and our employees from all over North America were excited to roll up their sleeves and support such a great initiative. Having the opportunity to meet with the family that we were supporting made our efforts even more meaningful.
Modaxo Supports Its Local Communities
Our team at the Simon Ferguson group volunteered for a morning with the Atlanta Food Shelf as well as working at one of their mobile food pantries.
Cleaning up the LRT
Our Jonas Springer-Miller BU [Malaysia] participated in the Trash Hero Clean Up #157 organized by Trash Hero Kuala Lumpur & Prasarana. The event was also part of the Malaysia Day celebration which commemorates the formation of Malaysia in 1963. A total of 1,100 kg of trash was collected from the Masjid Jamek LRT station area.
Modaxo’s Vontas Give Back
Modaxo’s Vontas BU continues to engage and give back in their communities including participating in the Iowa Giving Crew, Frames for Youth Bowling Fundraiser, the Westbrook Elementary Fun Run as well as sponsoring the Alburnett Pirates, a youth softball team.
Making Sure the Water is Flowing
Members of our Jonas UK Team spent a fantastic day working with the Canal and River Trust on the Grand Union Canal, in Birmingham. Our team spent the morning picking up trash – filling more than 25 bins with plastic bottles, cans and other non-biodegradable waste – including a door, an old tire and a shopping trolley. Supporting such an important asset from pollution, the effects of ageing, and the risk of flooding due to climate change was time well spent.
Modaxo ANZ Gives Back
Our team at Modaxo [Volaris] participated in several events including the RSPCA Cupcake Day for animal welfare, R U OK? Day in support of mental health and the Yalari Gala Dinner in support of creating positive change for Indigenous children.
SSP Gives Back
Volaris’ SSP BU organized a charity bake sale in support of breast cancer as well as had some of its employees volunteer at Calder Community Cares.
Celebrating Octobre Rose [Pink October]
Our Harris France team joined in the annual France campaign dedicated to raising the awareness surrounding breast cancer. Throughout the month of October, various events and initiatives are organized to educate the public about the importance of early detection, provide information about breast cancer, and raise funds for research and support for those affected by the disease.
Vela Support of the Fort York Food Bank
The Vela Software group in Toronto have partnered with the Fort York Food Bank in their local community. On their first day, they assisted in providing groceries to more than 1,000 local families and serving more than 100 hot meals to members of their community. They are looking forward to continuing to contribute to this wonderful organization.
Jonas Supports Community Spirit in India
Our Jonas C&R Software Global Community Spirit Initiative is making an impact, with a focus on those who are visually impaired. Through their partnership with the Gnana Jyothi Trust they are providing essential resources, including Braille transcription machines, textbooks, mentoring, and academic assistance, enabling these students to pursue higher education.

Volaris’ Adapt IT Group Embraces Their Part in Social Responsibility
Adapt IT is engaging in several ways with their local communities, all in an effort to make a difference.
Partnering with Adopt-a-School Foundation by investing time, effort, and financial contributions into various Information Technology (IT) and education programmes to create a better and more equal society in a sustainable manner.
Adapt IT put together an employee team and raised funds to support the KwaZulu-Natal (a province within South Africa, Durban) flood relief efforts by donating to Gift of the Givers, an organization that provides disaster relief, medical assistance and sustainable development programs to underprivileged communities.
Adapt IT held several events to commemorate Mandela Day including: teaming up with a Women's Association for three different initiatives (packing hampers at the local shopping mall for underprivileged children, providing gas cookers to those who don’t have access to basic cooking facilities and donating whiteboards from their office to local schools) as well as donating dignity packs to all 1,548 learners at Lodirile Secondary School. Mandela Day is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, who spent 67 years of his life fighting for human rights and social justice.
Our Adapt IT team also worked together to create a Sandwich Drive, providing lunches for those less fortunate in Johannesburg.
Jonas’ Springer-Miller Systems – Giving Back
Jonas’ Springer-Miller Systems (SMS) BU stepped up to support their local Vermont community in the face of the one-hundred-year flooding event. Our SMS’ers, as well as family and friends went door-to-door offering their assistance – helping several local businesses and families. It was a hard day for the team both physically and mentally, but they all agreed it was also incredibly rewarding to help people in their time of need.
Volaris’ Modaxo ANZ Employees Embrace the Holiday Spirit
Volaris’ Modaxo ANZ employees, for the second year in a row, partnered with Lighthouse Care in their annual Santa’s Helper - Christmas Charity Drive where team members were provided a Christmas Wishlist that a local child in need had written for Santa – the generosity of the team members was amazing.
Jonas Participates in Apryle Showers Run
Our Jonas Vizergy BU hosted a Viz Gives event at the Apryle Showers Run to benefit the Apryle Showers Foundation. The Apryle Showers Foundation is a local, non-profit organization that serves individuals ages 30-55 in Northeast Florida currently undergoing treatment for cancer. The Foundation offers recovery retreats that help foster healing, restoration, and peace to people fighting for their lives. We had several employees run the 10K and had a great time at the event festivities, all that benefited a great cause.
Volaris’ TripSpark Uses Their User Conference to Make a Difference
During Ignite, the TripSpark user conference, $3,000 USD was raised, for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC), specifically the program that assists families with transportation costs.
Volaris’ Vontas Employees Give Back
The Vontas team works within their local community on a regular basis, volunteering at their local homeless center Olivet Neighbor Mission, Family Helping Families Winter Wonderland Event, Meals from the Heartland, HACAP food sorting / packaging as well as the Food and Backpack Drive for Families.
Supporting Our Future Leaders
The Harris Ambulatory Group organized a Backpack Bonanza to help under-served kids who are in foster care or experiencing family insecurity. Working with Bethany Services of Southern New England, they filled backpacks with much needed supplies and hygiene products. Funds were raised through a combination of external fundraising and corporate matching of employee donations.
Volunteering our time to support our communities
Harris’ HLG (Harris Local Government) employees volunteered some of their time with The Dream Center, who offer emergency assistance to those in crisis in South Carolina, with a focus on encouraging, educating, and empowering people with a hand-up instead of a handout. Our employees spent the day working on the grounds laying mulch, trimming shrubs, and doing other gardening tasks. Some also went into their Santa Shop which is in an old school building and freshened up the walls with a new coat of paint.
The team at HLG also worked with Garrett’s Place, who serve foster children and families by providing basic needs, emotional support, and community. They provide suitcases, clothes, books, toys, school supplies, and other items to children entering the foster system. Our employee volunteers pitched in to lend a helping hand by organizing and cleaning.
